Platon schools (Kindergarten – Primary – Secondary – Lifelong Learning Centre) is a modern educational institution with 620 learners and 90 staff. Through the use of the most up-to-date facilities, a diverse curriculum, experienced and skilled teaching staff and, most importantly, through consistency on principles and respect towards pupils and parents, our school

has been struggling during the last 25 years for the accomplished education of our pupils. Exploiting community based and participatory approaches, engage relevant local and regional stakeholders to address educational challenges. Platon is affiliated to: Katerini Municipality, International Hellenic University, District Educational Authority of Pieria, Chamber of Commerce of Pieria, Olympus Festival, Volunteering team of Pieria, Cultural and Athletic clubs.

Platon is engaged on Green and Climate change activities for its students, teachers, parents and local community. Since 2000 is member and Greek coordinator of the Environmental Initiative ENO https://www.enoprogramme.org/. Every year participates in the Environmental Network MED S.O.S. http://www.medsos.gr/ and the Ecomobility National program In 2006 awarded the first prize on the Environmental competition of the Ministry of Education. Moreover developed and applied

the Co Creation Challenge Based approach on it's primary and secondary students. Moreover delivered this approach to more than 10 groups of 20 students each from Poland, Romania, Hungary visited Platon during KA1 mobilities.
